Cover Dezember 2015 Mix

9 tracks from 8 musicians who use their drum kits or percussions in special ways, build their own drum systems or process drum sounds for individual listening experiences. Julian Sartorius recorded for his Beat Diary 1 year one drum beat each day, using prepared drums or everyday objects. Simon Berz plays his feedbacking Rocking Desk, an extended drum kit with modified drum sticks and just released a double 7inch on the Hula Honeys label. On Mired 2, Eli Keszler plays bowed croatales and snare drum and creates a haunting athmosphere. Also Machinefabriek creates amazing soundscapes with only drum sounds. Moondog builded his own instruments and played them in his viking-style clothes in the streets of NYC from 1940s until the 70s. Creating black holes with drumming.
